Terms of use

The short version: enjoy the game, be kind on the leaderboard, and manage any subscription through your app store.

These terms are between you and Renaissance Applied Intelligence LLC, which makes Mahj Mentor. On iPhone, Apple's standard license agreement also applies. By using Mahj Mentor you agree to these terms.

Using Mahj Mentor

Mahj Mentor is for learning and practicing American Mahjong for your own enjoyment. Please do not misuse the service, try to break it, or interfere with other players.

Names on the leaderboard

Pick a name that is kind and not offensive, and not someone else's identity. We may change or hide any name, and players can hide and report names they do not want to see.

Mahj Mentor Plus

  • Mahj Mentor Plus is an optional subscription. The price and period are shown before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
  • If we offer a free trial, any unused part ends when you subscribe.

The card and the game

Mahj Mentor plays its own card of original hands, written for the app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Mah Jongg League, and it does not reproduce the League's card. Rules explanations are our own and meant to help you learn; house rules at your table may differ.

No warranty

Mahj Mentor is provided as is. We work to keep it running and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. To the extent the law allows, Renaissance Applied Intelligence LLC is not liable for indirect or incidental damages from using the app.
